Downstream ONU Buffer Modeling for Fiber to the Drop Point

　　We derive tools to limit the buffering at the ONU in a hybrid XG-PON/VDSL network.We find that per digital subscriber line(DSL)downstream traffic shapers at the OLT can be used to limit buffering requirements at the ONU.
