A Middleware WAPSE for a Web-Based PSE Development Support by Module Cooperation
A middleware of WAPSE is proposed and developed for web-based PSE (Problem Solving Environment) development support by a module cooperation.PSE is a specialized computer software for solving a target domain of problems, combining problem-solving methods with human-oriented tools for guiding the problem solution.The web-based PSEs discussed in this paper are based on a web technology.WAPSE is a middleware for developing web-based PSEs on heterogeneous web servers and clients, which cooperate with each other.Web-based PSE modules using WAPSE cooperate autonomously and communicate with each other to solve the target problems.WAPSE was applied to typical problem solving based on web services such as the channel configuration of some wireless LAN access points.We found that WAPSE is effective for web-based PSE development.
