Walnut Genebank in China National Clonal Plant Germplasm Repository

摘要：

　　Fruit genetic research, breeding, and retrieval for rare or endangered species or vulnerable land races; in this article, the development of the cloned fruit trees of the National Fruit Germplasm Taian Walnut Repository is summarized, including the collecting and cataloguing of germplasm information, description of accessions, identification and application, molecular research as well as preservation and backing up strategy of germplasm.A total of 415 of walnut germplasm resources are preserved, mainly including walnut cultivars, landraces and some local cultivars.Based on evaluation of data of these resources, some special and rare walnut germplasm resources were screened out, including red walnut and walnut for playing.In addition, the newly bred walnut cultivars in China are also listed.Furthermore, the social function of the China Walnut Repository is introduced, serving for the national walnut breeding, production and other scientific research, germplasm exchange among countries.
