Modeling of adsorption heat pump integrated with district heating network
The analysis results of adsorption heat pump integrated with district heating network are presented. The water – silica gel adsorption pair was studied. The adsorption equilibrium equation(Toth)with appropriate coefficients has been used to describe the adsorption characteristics.One-dimensional mathematical model of adsorber/desorber has been established comprising of the set of differential equations describing heat and mass transfer. The heat pump model was integrated with district heating network. The calculations of the complete dynamic model were performed to support the analysis.Sensitivity study has been carried out outlining the heat pump performance(COP)versus the parameters: cycle duration, temperature of the heat sources, and working fluid mass flow.
