A diffusion-absorption compression hybrid refrigeration cycle
Developed a diffusion-absorption compression hybrid refrigeration cycle,which combined by a heat exchanger named cooling transformer(CT),the CT is the evaporator of diffusion-absorption refrigeration sub-cycle(DAR cycle)and the subcooler of compression refrigeration sub-cycle(C-cycle)as well.In theory,the CT can transform DAR cycle low-grade cooling capacity into C-cycle high-grade cooling capacity,and then can improve the COP of C-cycle.As cooling capacity of DAR cycle is used to subcool refrigerant of C-cycle,DAR cycle can work on higher evaporation temperature than common DAR cycle and the COP of DAR cycle can be improved.The study aims to make the low-grade energy used in the refrigeration cycle more easily and efficiently.An experimental setup was designed and fabricated; experimental research on the system was conducted at different working condition with different LGE inputs.The results shows the COP of DAR sub-cycle of the new system can be three times higher than the common DAR when produce the same grade cooling capacity and the DAR sub-cycle can be started more easily with LGE than common DAR.
