ECOS:Off-grid operation of micro CCHP system
In recent years, people have paid more and more attention on m-CCHP(Micro combined cooling heating and power)system. Most of research works are based on systems connecting to public grid. But there are still occasions that public grid is unavailable, such as in remote areas,on islands,or for users with public grid collapse. So,study of off-grid operation is significant for application of m-CCHP system. When the public grid is unavailable, energy output characteristics of system are limited by the gas engine and part load performance of every device. In order to supply theoretical basis for system design, operation and regulation in off-grid operation,a typical m-CCHP system is studied basing on gas engine, absorption chiller and electric air-conditioner.Storage battery is also essential for system start-up and energy regulation.Basing on study of system design, operation and regulation, some important characteristics of m-CCHP system in offgrid operation are figured out.Firstly, system is simulated by building a mathematic model and energy output distribution is calculated.Secondly, system operation characteristics and regulation methods are discussed.Lastly,a system design method is introduced and a case of Green Energy Laboratory in Shanghai Jiao Tong University is studied.
