Theoretical analysis of a novel electricity-cool cogeneration system driven by a ship diesel engine waste heat based on Rankine-absorption combined cycle
In this paper,a novel Rankine-absorption refrigeration combined cycle is proposed to recover the exhaust waste heat and provide electricity and cooling effect aboard ship.Several parameters are chosen as the objective functions, including the cooling capacity, expansion power of RC,coefficient of performance(COP)and exergy efficiency.Water is used as the working fluid of the Rankine cycle, while ammonia-water is used as working pairs in the absorption refrigeration cycle. The simulation indicates that the electricity-cool cogeneration system improves the exergy efficiency significantly while comparing to that of basic RC.When the condensing temperature is 323K and the superheat is 100K,the exergy efficiency of the combined cycle increases by 84%,from 0.2538 to 0.4679.
