SIMULATING ON HEAT PIPE HEAT SINK FOR THERMOELECTRIC REFRIGERATOR

In his paper, simulation of the heat pipe heat sink for a thermoelectric refrigerator on hot end by finite volume method and fluid-solid coupled with thermal processing is shown.The heat transfer rote is 85W and the forced convection is adopted.The study results shows that the maximum joint temperature of thermoelectric chip is 40℃ above, and the thermal resistance of the heat pipe heat sink is 0.25℃ / W.compared with test result, the joint temperature increase 6oC and the thermal resistance rise 25% since the contact thermal resistance.The optimization orientate was explicit to improve the heat transfer performance of heat sink.
