New Indoor Propagation Channel Model for Location Purposes
In this paper,we propose a deterministic,close to indoor physical phenomena and hall orientated indoor propagation model for localization purposes.This multi-frequency,multi-path indoor channel model is based on geometrical optics(GO).The received electromagnetic power is given as a function of the carrier frequency,the distance between emitting and receiving antennas,the ceiling height and takes into account both building materials dielectric properties and radiation Rx/Tx antennas pattern.Received power simulations are compared to measurements with an UHF RFID system using active tags at 868MHz and 433MHz in a 20m long ground floor environment.A good match is noticed.
