Investigation on Slow Light of Uniform Fiber Bragg Gratings
The impact of the grating of length,“dc index change spatially averaged over a grating period and fringe visibility of the index change on group delay of uniform fiber Bragg grating are investigated in detail by means of numeric simulation and slow light delay characteristics this kind grating is presented emphatically.The calculated results indicate that the influence of “dc index change spatially averaged over a grating period on group delay is most obviously,the maximum value of group delay is 140.087 ns,especially slow light delay is rapidly decaying.This provides theoretical basis for designing novel delay devices.
