Road-vehicle Cooperation for Lateral Guidance
The aim of this paper is to describe an Advanced Driver Assistance System(ADAS)based on the cooperation between a vehicle and the road.It includes passive transponders integrated in the side white strips of the road and on-board devices allowing the communication with the transponders and the signal processing for estimating the vehicle lateral position used by the Driving Assistance System.The vehicle lateral position estimated by the developed system is provided in real-time with an accuracy of the order of ±2cm.
