Wide Band Frequency Control of Circularly Polarized Patch Antenna with Movable Dielectric
This paper presents a circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna for frequency control.The wide band operating frequency of the circular polarization in the proposed antenna can be controlled by using a movable dielectric.Frequency change can be achieved by changing the effective dielectric constant by moving the dielectric plate in the air layer between the ground and the patch.We have been able to achieve a frequency control of 67.7%of the bandwidth from 6.4GHz to 12.95GHz,with an axial ratio of less than 3dB.
