Direction of Arrival Estimation Based on Maximum Likelihood Criteria Using Gravitational Search Algorithm

  In this paper,a new heuristic optimization algorithm called Gravitational Search Algorithm(GSA)is proposed for Direction of Arrival(DOA)estimation method based on maximum likelihood(ML)criteria for a Uniform Circular Array(UCA)of 12 elements.The results are compared with those obtained using Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)and MUSIC algorithms in terms of Root Mean Square Error(RMSE).
