Advances in the Theory of the Circular Waveguide with an Azimuthally Magnetized Ferrite Cylinder and a Dielectric Toroid
Families of normalized in an appropriate way curves are presented,illustrating the phase behaviour of the circular waveguide,loaded with a symmetrically positioned latching ferrite cylinder of azimuthal magnetization,stuffed in a dielectric toroid,in contact with the structure wall which sustains normal TE0n modes.The graphs are plotted,using numerical data,obtained by means of a recently developed reiterative procedure which employs the purely imaginary roots of the characteristic equation of configuration,derived in terms of complex Kummer confluent hypergeometric and real Bessel and Neumann functions.The work extends previous results for the geometry in question and constitutes a substantial contribution in building up its general theory.
