A Novel Fast Approach to Eye Location and Face Geometric Correction
An effective method of eye location and face geometric correction is proposed in this paper.The classifier based on the Adaboost algorithm is used to quickly detect face region, then the eye candidate region is rapidly determined through the eyes detector.The positions of the eyes can be precisely located by using block integral projection according to the position and proportion of eyes in the candidate region.Especially in the case of eyes tilted and wearing glasses, the novel block integral projection approach can prevent the emergence of pseudo feature points, and the influences of the spectacle border and spectacle frame can be avoided.After eyes location, a novel calculation method of the rotation angle is proposed, then we give a detailed theoretical proof for this method, it is important for improving image rotation theory.Experimental results show that the proposed approach can realize the face geometric correction and also has better real time.
