The New Challenges of CI Initiativesin Japanese Enterprises
In this research, a quantitative and qualitative verification and discussion by interview based on the data of a questionnaire-format survey of Japanese professionals on the current status and issues of competitive intelligence practice in Japanese enterprises was conducted.Furthermore, responding to the problems of competitive intelligence initiatives, such as not being visible for effectiveness, no champion etc.,case studies in Japanese enterprises are presented.As a result, this paper clarifies the reality of competitive intelligence practices in Japanese enterprises, especially in conducting CI and how its intelligence is organized in them.This result will give us a chance to see the progress and transformation of Competitive Intelligence practices in Japan during the changing business environment.
