Pendulous Method to Install Manifolds in Ultra Deep Water

　　This paper focuses on the operations to install subsea manifolds in ultra-deep water.In 2006 and 2007, Petrobras installed Manifold MSGL-RO-02 (280 tonnes) and Manifold MSGL-RO -03 (230 tonnes) at the Roncador field on the continental slope at Campos Basin, respectively.Both of them were installed in more than 1,800m water depth and the pendulous method developed by Petrobras was adopted.The overall introduction to pendulous method, the installation planning, the monitoring system and the cable system are all included in this paper.
