SOURCING COST REDUCTION FOR AUTOMOBILE-PARTS BY OPTIMIZING SUPPLIERS COMBINATION

　　Most automobile companies in Japan dont choose die/mould suppliers when sourcing automobile parts.However, after the financial crisis, the demand for reducing automobile costs became more and more severe.Since the investment for the die/mould accounts for about 40% of the initial development investment, its cost reduction contributes greatly to the total cost reduction.In this study, we proposed a method to separate die/mould suppliers choose from that of parts suppliers.This research creates a program to calculate the total cost for all combinations of die/mould and part suppliers and then obtain the optimized cost combination of die/mould and part suppliers.
