AN OPERATION ANALYSIS METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTIVE PROCESSING

  Delivery accuracy and productivity are emphasized in the distributive processing.Delivery accuracy means the rate of items delivered incorrectly to all delivered items.The inspection using bar-code scanner is used widely as an effective method to increase the delivery accuracy.On the other hand, efforts to improve the productivity are carried out empirically by trial and error.Therefore, it is required to introduce a scientific work measurement for the further increase in the productivity.One of important points of the work measurement is to derive estimate equation to estimate the Operation Time.Conventional work measurement method has latent weakness since stop watch or video analysis is used as measurement tools.Those tools are not suitable to analyze the motion of workers moving in large work area such as warehouse.So, in this research, RFID is applied as a work measurement tool.In distributive processing, three element tasks such as walk, picking, and alignment of items arerepeated.RFID is used to measure the start time and finish time of element tasks in chronological order.Inventoried items are classified into three groups such as large, middle and small according to size and weight.Then, an estimate equation is derived to estimate Operation Time for distributing items based on the measured observation data.An actual work measurement is executed in a warehouse where distributive processing of stationery is conducted.Then, a usable estimate equation of Operation Time for distributive processing is obtained and the practicality of the proposed method is verified.
