THE ERGOMA APPROACH AND ITS SUCCESS CASES

Production plants under the pressure of multikind and small quantity production tend to require much manual labor because of difficulty of automation. For work management in such cases is proposed the Ergoma Approach, which aims at solving problems in terms of fusion of productivity and humanity. In the conventional, management-type approach, stress was laid on the efficiency of work process such as setting of standard time for lessening the influence of humans on work or eliminating wasteful work as much as possible for the production line.In this approach, on the other hand, stress is laid on reduction of workload,no-miss approach to diversified production, and coexistence of the activation of workers performance and mass production. In this paper are explained the concept and practice methods of the Ergoma Approach, and its effectiveness is shown by the results of cases in manufactures and food processors.
