THE APPLICATION OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN AERO-ENGINE DEVELOPING PROJECT

  In order to improve an aero-engine companys ability in project management, the project management maturity model (PMMM) will be used in this article to analyse the companys aero-engine developing project.This paper will first analyse the current situation of aviation industry in China;secondly, it studies the project management maturity of the companys aeroengine fabrication, determines the index to identify key process area (KPA) and finds the KPA of each PMMM level;lastly, methods for improving the companys project management maturity are proposed from four dimensions, including human resources management,time management, quality management, and risk management.
