EVALUATING ON PROFITABILITY OF CHINAS STATE-OWNED INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES: AN APPLICATION OF CIPCA ON INTERVAL DATA

摘要：

　　Analysis on profitability has played a vital role in evaluating business development.From the perspective of comprehensive analysis of financial indicators, this paper has introduced the concept of using interval data for evaluating profitability of China s state-owned industrial enterprises.By using the method of complete-information-based principal component analysis (CIPCA), we have been enabled to assess various industries in dimensions of both profit quantity and profit quality simultaneously.Furthermore, a number of state-controlled listed companies from either power industry or chemical industry have been visualized on the component plot for comparison within the corresponding industry.
