A DEVELOPMENT OF ESTIMATION METHOD OF CAMERA POSITION AND POSTURE BY COMPARINF 3D SURROUNDINF MODEL WITH INPUT IMAGE OF CAMERA
In this paper, we propose an estimation method of camera position and posture by comparing three-dimensional surrounding model with input images of camera for indoor environment without using artificial markers and Global Positioning System.In this method, the corresponding points between the input image and the model image which is made from the three-dimensional surrounding model are estimated by a template matching.Then, from these corresponding points, the position and the posture of the camera are estimated in real environment.Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed estimation method of camera position and posture is demonstrated by experiments.
