Thermal Properties of Light-controllable Photonic Liquid Crystal Fibers
We have investigated the thermal characteristics of light-controllable photonic liquid crystal fibers(PLCFs)by varying the ambient temperature.The measured results show that as the PLCF is irradiated by a blue laser,the transmission spectrum has a red shift.In addition,the response time of the fabricated PLCF can be reduced by raising the ambient temperature and by increasing the concentration of the photoresponsive LC mixture.
