THULIUM DOPED FIBER LASER OPERATING AT 2μM REGION
All-fiber Tm3+-doped silica fiber laser operating at 2 μm region was demonstrated.The wavelength of the fiber laser can be selected from 1925 nm to 2200 nm by using different fiber Bragg gratings(FBGs)as wavelength selection elements.By employing a FBG arrays in the laser cavity,six switchable lasing wavelengths were achieved.The presented fiber laser can be useful for dense wavelength division multiplexing systems.
