ON-CHIP LIGHT CONTROL VIA RECONSTRUCTION EQUIVALENT CHIRP TECHNIQUE AND ITS APPLICATION FOR MULTI-WAVELENGTH DFB LASER ARRAY
Bragg waveguide grating is one of the most important structures for on-chip light control. In order to achieve specific optical performances, the grating structure should be well designed with fine structures.Recently, reconstruction equivalent chirp(REC)technique is proposed. The optical response can be controlled by designing the sampling pattern with micro-meter scale and uniform basic grating. Therefore, the fabrication tolerance is highly improved, and the fabrication cost is greatly reduced. The REC technique is successfully applied to fabricate the multi-wavelength DFB laser arrays.Experimental results exhibit high wavelength precision, with the most wavelength deviations being within ±0.2 nm.
