A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF NONLINEAR COMPANDING SCHEMES FOR CO-OFDM TRANSMISSIONS
Wangs nonlinear companding scheme is investigated here for the first time for CO-OFDM transmissions.As a result of an optimal predistortion function design,we demonstrate a 3 dB BER advantage for a system employing a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier(SOA).
