ARM-Based Methanol/Gasoline Dual-Fuel Controller Design

  The hardware and software design of an ARM-based methanol/gasoline dual-fuel controller(DFC)was proposed.The controller is installed between the electronic control unit(ECU)and the engine of automobile,interacting with the ECU and collecting operating parameters by various transducers installed on the engine.Dual-fuel controlling is realized by fuel-injection-correction according to calorific value difference between methanol and gasoline.Refitted by this DFC,existing automobiles can use both methanol and gasoline fuel.The proposed DFC can be applied in most kinds of automobiles.Expected benefits include lower fuel consumption and cost,lower emission,and better profit for transport business.
