Influence of Cascade Inlet Installation Angle on Performance of Blockerless Thrust Reverser
This research is a computational study on a blockerless thrust reverser,focused on the effect of cascade inlet installation angle on the thrust reverse efficiency.Result show that cascade installation angle influences the mass flow,flow velocity and flow direction through the cascade slot,thus the thrust reverse efficiency is changed correspondingly.For the different fan inlet pressure ratio,there exists an optimal cascade installation angle,which makes the thrust reverse efficiency best.Because of the different fan inlet pressure ratio,the flow has different energy.the lower the fan inlet pressure is,the smaller energy the flow has,the corresponding flow angle in the cascade slot is bigger,resulting in a bigger optimal cascade installation angle.
