Matching Mechanism Analysis on an Adaptive Cycle Engine
As a novel aero-engine concept,Adaptive cycle aero-engine(ACE)is studied merely at the preliminary stage. It is more complex than traditional turbo-jet engine or turbo-fan engine since it consists of a core double bypass variable cycle engine surrounded by a third bypass duct..On the basis of a newly developed nonlinear component-based ACE performance model, this paper aims at investigating the effect of variable geometries modulation on the matching relationship between engine components as well as the overall engine performance at different operating modes
