Recent Developments in Macro and Micro Scale Tube Hydroforming

　　Tube hydroforming(THF)is a material forming process that uses a pressurized fluid in place of a hard tool.This process has found wide applications in the automotive,motorcycle/bicycle industries as well as for making components for sanitary use.Lately,there has been a growing interest in micro-THF for fabrication of miniature devices.This paper discusses recent development in macro and micro-scale THF.New techniques for enhancement of process capability for macro-THF are highlighted.New concepts for developing micro-THF systems with experimental validation are also discussed.
