A Moving Strip Yield Crack in a Piezoelectric Material Under in-plane Loading
In this paper we extend the concept of Dugdale crack model and Yoffe crack model to propose a moving strip yield crack model,and the problem of crack propagation in piezoelectric material under electro-mechanical loading is investigated considering the electro-mechanical nonlinearity.It is assumed that the crack surfaces are electrically permeable.Fourier transform is applied to reduce the mixed boundary value problem of the crack to dual integral equations,which are solved exactly.The explicit expression of the size of the yield strip is derived and the crack opening displacement has been obtained.Our result shows that the both the stress and electric field in the cracked piezoelectric material are finite.When the crack moving velocity is zero,the static strip yield crack problem is recovered.
