Fuel Cell Challenges in Renewable Energy System Integration and Automotive Application
Several challenges need to be carefully addressed in order to unlock the FC full potential.We present the significant role that fuel cells can play in the electric distributed generation systems(or decentralized)as well as in automotive applications.Starting with hydrogen technology state-of-the-art,its most important technical aspects are presented for stationary as well as automotive applications.In addition,battery-fuel cell hybridization and the impact of renewable energies on hydrogen production for automotive application is discussed.Finally,the techno-economic achievements,the expectations and the markets of fuel cells is analyzed.
