The Theoretical Study on Aluminum/Air Two-phase Three-dimensional Detonation by the Method of Conservation Element and Solution Element

  The combustion and explosion performance of aluminum have been drawn close attention because of its special applications in the industrial and military field.In this paper the model of two-phase three-dimensional aluminum/air detonation was established.The combustion process of aluminum dust and its heat release were taken into account in this model.The interaction and heat transfer between aluminum dust and air were also considered.The method of conservation element and solution element was applied to simulate the aluminum/air detonation model.Base on the numerical calculation,the distribution of physical parameters inside the detonation tube was analyzed.Computational results show that the detonation of aluminum/air in tube is feasible.And the way of ignition is an important factor in the formation of steady detonation wave.All the results here provide some theoretical foundation for aluminum dust detonation research.
