A Novel Multi-Purpose Projectile’s Penetration Intensity Simulation and Analysis
Because traditional tanks ability in combat with hidden and disperse infantry is not strong,it is important to develop novel projectile which can against scattered infantry effectively,and the projectile should strike bunkers,light armored targets in the same time.This paper introduces the research of a new type anti-personnel/anti-materiel multipurpose projectile(APAM).The simulation result in this paper shows that the projectile structure can easily penetrate 15mm thick armor plate at specified speed,and after penetration there is no damage on projectile.The acceleration curve obtained from penetration simulation provides reference for further optimization design of ammunition fuze,projectile fuze and projectile structure.
