Research on the Combustion Performance of Deterred-coating Propellants

  In order to study the combustion performance of deterred-coating propellants on propellant charge,closed chamber experiments and interrupted combustion experiments are used to analyze the burning of mixed charge.The characteristic that the relative combustion quality ψe at the inflection point of dp/dt-ψ curve of deterred-coating propellant charge varies with the charge density is found in closed chamber experiments.Reasons of the change of ψe are analyzed by the result of interrupted combustion experiments.From the potential equilibrium theory and the analysis of experimental data,it is indicated that the change of ψe is corresponding to the change of ψE at the potential equilibrium point of p-t curve in interior ballistic experiments of mixed charge,which will influence the interior ballistic performance.
