Modelling Mode II Fracture of HTPB Propellant/Insulation Interface with CZM Method
In order to build up a Mode II HTPB propellant/insulation interface model,Cohesive Zone Model(CZM)method is adopted.Firstly,Single Lap Joints with improved aluminium supports are adopted to calibrate the interface parameters,followed by a series of numerical analyses with different CZMs,i.e.bilinear,exponential and a special model which includes a customized damage function.Ultimately,the numerical analysis result shows that the bilinear CZM is the best one in describing the bonding property between HTPB propellant and insulation.
