The Simulation Analyses of Micro-fluidic Inertial Switch for Fuze
Traditional micro-mechanical inertial switch used for fuze is unstable in high impact environment,because of its solid-solid contacting mode.To solve this problem,a kind of fluid inertial switch based on solid-liquid contacting mode is presented in this paper.Glycerol has been chose,it flows in the micro-channel to turn on a switch,in which glycerol acts as not only the sensitive mass suffering to inertial force but also a moving and contacting part of the inertia switch 1,3.Two types of environment which are normal launching and accident fall are needed to be distinguished in fuze application.The simulation software FULENT is used to analyze the dynamic behavior of glycerol,which is driven by inertia force in these two environments.Then laws of glycerol moving in the channel can be got,including the distance glycerol moving in the channel and the final state of glycerol.The simulation analyses how the concentration of glycerol and the channel structure can affect the results and it is learned that the length glycerol moving in the direct way decreases as the concentration of glycerol increases.When the glycerol concentration is same,the distance glycerol moving in normal launching is greater than it is in accident fall.
