The Face Detection and Location System Based on Zynq
The Zynq-7000 consists of two elements AP SoC Processing System(PS)and a Programmable Logic(PL)unit.The AP SoC allows the us to implement a video processing algorithm either as a software program running on the Zynq-7000 AP SoC based PS or as a hardware accelerator inside the AP SoC based PL.In this paper,we design a face location system through software/hardware co-design based on Zynq-7000.The location algorithm firstly constructs the skin model and calculates the similarity of the image data,then calculates the face boundaries based space projection and finally utilizes Xilinx high-level synthesis tool Vivado HLS(AutoESL)to achieve a hardware from the C program.Using the hardware module to realize the face location greatly improved the computing speed.The simulation results shows that the method worked well and the efficiency increased by 80%.
