A Modeling Approach of Integrated Electrical-Thermal System for Early Ship Design
Thermal issues should be considered in the power system design and operation of an all-electric ship for system efficiency and survivability improvement. The simulation of Integrated Electrical-Thermal System(IETS)can provide the knowledge of interaction between electrical and thermal systems for the designer, but it is computationally expensive. In this paper,a modular modeling method of IETS is presented to reduce system complexity and effort is made on the reduced-order model of integrated power system including optimal power flow solver for the rapid simulation in ship early-stage design. The proposed model is demonstrated in a case study with different scenarios.
