Modeling and Simulation of Permanent Magnetic Driver with Notched Conductive Plate Stuffed with Steel Blocks
The conductive plate is modified and a new notched structure stuffed with steel blocks is proposed in this paper for the purpose of improving the transmission efficiency of permanent magnetic driver.Modeling and simulating are also made with the method of 2D finite elements. The analysis and distribution of magnetic force lines and magnetic flus density for both the notched and non-notched structures show that the magnetic passage is optimized and the magnetic flux leakage is reduced.Furthermore the comparison of the curves of torque characteristic for both structures demonstrates that the transmission torque of the new structure is improved 28%.
