Basic Deployable Element to Construct Modular Deployable Structures

　　Large deployable structures are widely used in the space engineering,they are usually constructed by connecting numbers of modules.A module usually consists of several deployable elements.Different kinds of deployable structure may be constructed by the same deployable modules.One basic deployable element to construct large modular deployable space structure is proposed.The structural parameters and kinematic properties of the basic deployable element are analyzed.A modular deployable unit is proposed by connecting basic elements.The modular deployable unit is then used to construct deployable space structures,such as mast,planar and parabolic structures,in different construction methods.The deployable performance and some details of the deployable structures are described.
