Geometrized Displacement Group based Group-linkage Generation
The work described in this paper includes exploring constraint based reconfiguration approach with geometric nature of a metamorphic linkage derived.This enriches displacement group theory for fulfilling the variable topology.To facilitate the reconfiguration design,recognition of configuration constraints of linkages includes the number of links,type of joints and geometric constraints of adjacent joint axis orientations.A mechanism can be seen as a constraint system.In the case of geometric constraints of adjacent joint orientations varied,the connectivity of joint is changed and new constraints can be imposed or released accordingly.Then the reconfigurability of linkage is leading to the investigation of the inherent constraint elements analysis.
