Study of lumped-parameter modeling of skid steer vehicle with rotating arm
To overcome obstacles on rough roads, military vehicles use a rotary suspension system rather than translational suspension system. And,to withstand a heavy load, the rigidity must be secured.A multibody dynamic model is frequently used to implement complex dynamic response, which comes from geometric changes of arms and traction forces on tires. In this skid steering case, the accurate prediction of the tire forces will be hard. This complexity makes it difficult to achieve real-time analysis. In this paper,to overcome this difficulty,a lumped parameter model that reflects the characteristics of the rotary suspension was proposed.
