The Estimate of Airline Flight Delays Economic Loss Based on the Logarithm Cost Function Model

　　In recent years,the frequently flight delays increase the airlines operating costs and cause serious economic losses.In order to estimate the losses,the paper proposed flight delay costs calculation method applicable to our airlines.Firstly,the paper summarized factors influencing the airline costs,and proposed the airlines logarithm cost function which regarded the number of delay flights as an argument.Then the paper used multivariate statistical methods to estimate the model parameters to determine the impact of delay flights on the airlines costs.Finally,the paper estimated the Chinas major airlines flight delays economic losses in 2009 and 2010 with the above method.
