Critique “Understanding Class Blogs as a Tool for Language Development
This essay will analyze the article Understanding class blogs as a tool for language development,written by Doris de Almeida Soares and published in Language Teaching Research 2008; 12; 517.The author builds a class blog with her 9 pre-intermediate students in her language course in Brazil to see whether the blog succeeds in helping the students to improve their leaning abilities.The scope of the research is then widened to discover how blogs work in the language teaching process around the world.The essay intends to critique the strengths and weaknesses of this particular research.
