A Research Framework for Project Value from Multiple Stakeholders’ Perspectives
Projects are recognized in adding value to organization by means of strategy alignment, financial revenue, and efficiency improvement and to customers when meeting their requirements.Considering from a single role, such as customers or project companies,is not enough and it usually goes against the idea of whole life cycle.A simple evaluation model 4E has been provided to explore different types of project value perceived in different stakeholders. The purpose of this paper is to further detail 4E models sub-elements,and to indicate possible value conflicts among different views. Its hoped that this proposed framework enables project decision makers to choose the best suitable project from many alternatives through comparing estimated value at the very first stage and may be seen as a guideline for project manager to define project objectives in a valuable way.The paper lastly provides a case of Wuyuan Bay Development Project to support the framework.
