Barriers to Collaborative Innovation of Manufacturing Firms:Evidence from China
Using data from manufacturing firms, this paper empirically examines the barriers to collaborative innovation of firms. The results show that the main barriers to collaborative innovation for manufacturing firms are: lack of flow of knowledge, lack of technology and talents, lack of mutual trust, lack of financial capital, and strong awareness of IPR protection. Our findings have theoretical implications for collaborative innovation literatures, and provide practical implications for improving collaborative innovation abilities of firms and government policies.
