Identification of Leadership Styles in the Selected Polish Construction Company

　　In the article the leadership styles adopted by the management staff in a chosen construction company are identified.Among the management staff analysed in this paper,the middle-of-the-road style dominates.This is the style which shows equal concern for people and tasks and is preferred regardless of the length of the managers work experience.Here the manager makes a compromise and slight concessions in order to achieve a goal or to grant his/her subordinates satisfaction from their job.The style chosen and then applied by the significant majority of the management staff(regardless of their work experience)contributes to achieving success by the company.From the theoretical perspective,the best style is the team one,maximally both peopleand task-oriented,yet it appeared that it was adopted by only 4%of the respondents,including exclusively managers with the longest work experience.
