The Major Obstacle for Chinese FDI in the U.S.:The National Security Review

　　Chinese FDI in the United States has increased steadily but slowly in recent years.The national security review implemented by CFIUS is the major obstacle hindering Chinese FDI in the U.S,apart from the deficiency in investment capability of Chinese enterprises.Chinese investors can be deemed as the most affected by national security review during the past years.Protectionism is the root reason why Chinese FDI in U.S receives “much care of national security review.This paper presents an in-depth analysis of the American protectionism and its ungrounded causes,followed by some policy recommendations for Chinese FDI in response to national security review from many aspects in order to across the barrier.
